    The Apprenticeship Readiness Program (ARP) also known as the Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) has been developed by the North America Building Trades Union (NABTU) and endorsed by the Beaver County Building Trade Unions and Department of Labor. This three week day course will prepare individuals interested in entering a building trades Joint Apprenticeship training program.

    The Apprenticeship Readiness Program (ARP) will begin on Monday, October 16 - November 9 from 8:00am-4:30pm at the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) at the Washington County Center, located in the Washington Crown Mall at 1500 West Chestnut Street Washington, PA 15301.

    This training is available at no cost to eligible participants and includes the following topics:

    • Construction Industry Orientation
    • Trade Awareness
    • Tools and Materials (several site visits to area Joint Apprenticeship Training Centers)
    • OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid (certifications)
    • Blueprint reading
    • Heritage of the American Worker
    • Diversity in the workplace
    • Green Construction
    • Interview Skills/soft skills/code of conduct
    • Basic Math for construction
    • Sexual Harassment

    Candidates must have a driver’s license, reliable transportation and pass a drug/alcohol and a criminal background check.

    Upon successful completion of the course, candidates may receive a $125 stipend and a free pair of steel toe work boots.

    While completion of the ARP program does not guarantee your future acceptance into an apprenticeship program, it will be considered favorably during the application review process.
