    As the commercial construction industry continues to expand, the need for skilled tradespeople has never been greater. Construction of power plants, health care facilities, office buildings and mixed-use developments is creating lifelong career opportunities in the construction trades. Major undertakings include the repair and expansion of our region's infrastructure as well as the burgeoning natural gas industry.

    CCAC South Campus to host free seminar on piloting drones in November
    The Community College of Allegheny County will host a free seminar on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), better known as drones. Designed for novices to enthusiasts, An Intro to Part 107: What it Takes to Become & Operate as a Remote Pilot will enable attendees to discover drones for the first time, as well as prepare them to become FAA certified remote pilots. The seminar will be held at CCAC South Campus on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Room G-404.
    CCAC’s Barber School now enrolling at the Homewood-Brushton Center; classes to begin this fall
    The Community College of Allegheny County is offering a new Barber program at CCAC’s Homewood-Brushton Center that will prepare students for a career in barbering and will train them in the skills needed to become licensed through the Pennsylvania State Board of Barber Examiners.
